Sphereing

Sphereing - probably most easily described as a human hamster ball. Otherwise known as zorbing or sphereballing, to sphere is to roll down a hill harnessed in to a specially constructed 10-12ft cushioned plastic sphere. Addictive after just one go! Climb inside the chamber and hold your breath as you tumble at great speed down the glorious Perthshire hillside. Two rolls and you'll be addicted - described by one participant as "truly the best thing I have ever done"

Want to get started?

Well unless you are the proud owner of a 12ft inflatable ball the only company in Scotland to offer this activity is Nae Limits, based in Dunkeld, Perthshire.
For added kicks you can sphere with a friend (a particularly close friend, given your intimate proximity for the duration), or try aquasphering- basically the same thing, with a couple of buckets of water in there alongside you.
Cold water also, allegedly makes for the perfect hangover cure.

Sphering is a great family activity - no previous experience is required, however, this activity is not suitable for anyone who suffers from epilepsy or blackouts.

Where to go:

Sphereing runs from March to October. It is also a great spectator sport - what could be more enjoyable than watching someone speed down a hill in a 12ft plastic ball!
