Powerboating

You don't need to splash out on a boat to take to the sea, as there are numerous schools and centres teaching boat handling skills that won't cost you big bucks.
It means that various parts of Scotland are now accessible and if you find enjoyment in skimming at speed across the sea or appreciate the freedom that driving a boat brings, then click on to activity providers to get your full listing of boat companies.

Want to get started?

If you go with an accredited company then no equipment is needed as lifejacket and safety gear will be provided.
If you want to drive the boat yourself then The Royal Yacht Association Scotland (RYAS) has accredited centres that offer boat courses across the country from introductory to instructor level.

Where to go:

There are various boat charter companies found near or in the marinas in Scotland. From the West Coast to the Clyde, you'll be given the opportunity to go out on a rib or charter your own boat.
