Get active in Scotland by choosing from our exhilarating range of activities; white water rafting, canoeing, canyoning, duckying, gorge scrambling, rock climbing, abseiling and mountain biking as well as skiing and snowboarding during the winter. Active offer activity days, holidays and training courses. Activities are available to suit individuals, families and groups of all ages and abilities.

Activity holidays and training courses are based at Craigower Lodge Outdoor Centre in Newtonmore. We run weekend and week-long courses to suit novices through to training and assessment courses for instructors. A great outdoor experience awaits you set within the magnificent Cairngorms National Park.

What we do best:

Rock climbing and abseiling are amongst our most popular activities providing exciting challenges for everyone. Scotland is famed worldwide for it's rock faces and outcrops.

Our climbing days and courses are suitable for beginner and expert alike, from the mighty cliffs of the Cairngorms, Glencoe and Lochaber to the many fine crags around the Scottish Lowlands.

Active provide taster days, training and guiding suitable for all ages and levels of ability. For those wishing to try something a bit more adventurous or to develop their climbing skills and rope work we have selected some of the finest ridge walks, scrambles and climbs in the UK.
