Get active in Scotland by choosing from our exhilarating range of activities; white water rafting, canoeing, canyoning, duckying, gorge scrambling, rock climbing, abseiling and mountain biking as well as skiing and snowboarding during the winter. Active offer activity days, holidays and training courses. Activities are available to suit individuals, families and groups of all ages and abilities.

Activity holidays and training courses are based at Craigower Lodge Outdoor Centre in Newtonmore. We run weekend and week-long courses to suit novices through to training and assessment courses for instructors. A great outdoor experience awaits you set within the magnificent Cairngorms National Park.

What we do best:

White Water Rafting
Try out one of the most popular and exhilarating river experiences known to man, white water rafting.   If you are new to this don't worry our fully trained instructors will guide you through the rapids and coast you through the full aquatic encounter.  For the best possible rafting experience, Active will help you to raft Scotland's best rivers from the Nith or Minnoch in the South, Tay or Awe in the Southern Highlands to the Spey, Dee and Findhorn In the north, we will seek out the best river conditions on
the day or take you to your favourite river.

Multi activity breaks for groups, individuals, Stag and Hen parties are a great way to try a variety of adventurous activities. Weekends or 5-day courses are normally based at Craigower Lodge near Newtonmore, choose from our exciting range of water sports or land based activities. Courses can include full board or self-catering hostel accommodation.

We can provide transport for groups from most towns or cities within Scotland and airport transfers from Glasgow, Prestwick, Edinburgh and Inverness
airports.

Newtonmore, despite its remote Highland location is easy to get to by road via the main A9 trunk road north. There are also good rail services directly to Newtonmore and air services to Inverness, which is under an hour's drive away.

Active offer 2 to 7 day activity packages at Craigower Lodge in Newtonmore and other great venues throughout Scotland, you can choose self catering or full board accommodation and select form our wide range a range of activities which will suit everyone from the adrenalin junkie to those looking for total peace and solitude.
We can provide transport for groups from most towns or cities within Scotland and airport transfers from Glasgow, Prestwick, Edinburgh & Inverness airports.
