Ardenberg is an extremely useful base, for taking advantage of the vast highland playground around the Cairngorms. Offering superb self-catering bunkhouse accommodation located in the beautiful Cairngorms National Park and providing equipment hire and instruction for many outdoor sports including rock climbing, mountaineering, mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, skiing and snowboarding.

What we do best:

Kayaking the Rivers Spey, Findhorn, Feshie, Dee, Avon and Brown are all within close driving distance from Ardenbeg giving minimum travelling time and maximum paddling time. Ardenbeg's efficient drying room copes brilliantly with the group wetsuits and clothing .

Spey Descent - Guided kayak trips on the River Spey. Choose 1 or 2 days as a short taster to experience the relaxation and beauty of the river or choose to do the full 3-day descent and paddle all the way to the crashing waves at the sea, camping by the river as you go!

What do I need to wear?

Comfortable clothing and footwear.

What do I need to bring?

Complete change of clothes, towel and packed lunch for activity days and sleeping bag and food for in the bunkhouse. Plus woolly hat or sun block depending on the forecast!

When can I do it?

With the great variety of activities available here, there's literally something to do all year round.

2 minutes walk from the bunkhouse.
