Learn to fly at Glasgow International Airport!

We offer trial flying lessons and training for Private Pilot's Licence (PPL). If you're looking for an unusual gift or always fancied flying a light aircraft, our Trial Lessons are the perfect choice.

Perhaps you're considering commercial flying as a career and want to start with the PPL? Join our unique club (the only one at Glasgow Airport) and rise to the challenge.

What we do best:

Trial flying lessons - 30 minute flights over the River Clyde or Loch Lomond. A great introduction to flying - experience the thrill of taking off, take in your surroundings as the instructor flies you away from the airfield, then take control of the aircraft and fly it yourself!

Gift vouchers - give a present that won't be forgotten: vouchers available for 30 minute trial flights as above, valid for 6 months from date of purchase. Note - these are not sightseeing tours - the recipient is expected to fly the aircraft themselves! A great gift for a special occasion, or for someone's first steps on the way to becoming a commercial pilot.

Pilot training - our instructors will teach you how to fly a light aircraft, following the recognised syllabus for the Private Pilot's Licence. You'll learn the basics of flight, how to control the aircraft in various situations, how to deal with aircraft system failures, and much more. Ground exams and skill tests can be taken at the club under the supervision of Civil Aviation Authority-approved examiners.

What else?

Aircraft hire
 - If you've already got a Private Pilot's Licence, why not join us? We have various aircraft types for hire. You need to be a club member and you'll need to submit your logbook and complete a satisfactory check flight with an instructor, after that off you go!

Further training - We provide advanced training for night qualifications and IMC ratings - at Glasgow we have facilities not normally available at smaller airfields, including approach lighting, ILS and 24-hour ATC services. A great chance to improve your flying capabilities.

And finally:

Flyouts & Social Events - We organise occasional trips to other airfields, where you can meet like-minded folk, take in new sights and face new challenges. Other events are organised as and when we feel like it and have included Burn's Nights, Summer Barbeques, Dinner Dances or just nights in the pub none compulsory and definitely not recommended if you've got an aviation exam in the morning.

We are also able to take accompanied children over the age of 12 on trial flights as well.
