We are Scotland's National Outdoor Training Centre. Our role is to 'inspire adventure' by making adventure sports accessible, affordable, safe and fun.

We provide top instructors and equipment for beginners, intermediate and advanced. We are located in the heart of the Cairngorms and are in easy reach of all the best adventure venues in Scotland.

All food, accommodation, instruction, equipment and in course transport is provided as part of the course fee.

The main attractions at the Lodge have always been the magnificent mountains, rivers, forests and lochs of the Scottish Highlands but now, thanks to sportscotland investment, we have great indoor facilities as well.

The lodge offers the widest range of outdoor adventure sports training in Scotland including: scrambling, mountain biking, winter mountaineering, ice climbing, rock climbing, hill walking, skiing and ski-touring, river kayaking, sea kayaking, surf kayaking and open (Canadian) canoeing.

What we do best:

Glenmore Lodge started mountain skills courses in 1948. We are still building on the knowledge and experience that comes with each new year so we can pass it on to you. The Scottish Highlands offer a diverse range of landscapes and experiences. From the wide expanse of the Cairngorm plateau, to the rugged grandeur of Glencoe and the airy ridges of the Cuillin there is plenty to see and do.

Our courses are designed to equip you with the skills to explore this mountain environment for yourself with increased safety and confidence. We cover a wide range of navigation skills, route planning, scrambling and general hill skills in both winter and summer. Choose from introductory weekends or five day intensive courses. Board and accommodation is included in the course fees with free access to other facilities such as the gym, sauna and climbing wall.
