Picture the scene: great company, fantastic mountain days, panoramic views of one of the most beautiful places in the world. With Mountain Innovations, a walking holiday is this and much more.
Based in Aviemore and the Cairngorms - it's a veritable adventure playground.
Come the end of the mountain day we don't abandon you at your accommodation until the next morning. We provide for you throughout your stay. After a fantastic day you arrive back to a roaring fire, a welcoming mug of tea and a good craic. And let's not forget Rebecca's home baking and fantastic evening meals.
This, the shared camaraderie of a like-minded group, and the totally informal atmosphere make for a brilliant holiday. We're owner run - we can't be beat!
What we do best:
With nearly 300 peaks over 3000ft and a wealth of low level routes, the Scottish Highlands offer a lifetime of walking and adventure. Being one of Europe?s least populated areas, they possess the rare qualities of wilderness and solitude.
The sense of space and the soft light combined with the wild and rugged scenery make the Highlands a must visit destination.
The forever changing weather only adds to the landscape?s mystique and appeal. The beauty of the Highlands of Scotland is unique and unrivalled.
Backpacking Expeditions
This is escapism in its purest unadulterated form. Join the group and be self-reliant in some of the most beautiful mountain wilderness areas in Europe. Check out our Bothy Solitude Expedition (4 days) or the High Cairngorm Backpacking (5 days). All expedition food is home prepared.
Munro Walking Holidays
Bag the high peaks in a concentrated week of walking. If you want the full flavour of Scottish hillwalking, then this is the way to do it. Different programmes available throughout the 4 seasons.
Walking Holidays
We offer a wide variety of fully inclusive guided walking holidays (week long, year round) across the Scottish Highlands. From The Empty Quarter in Assynt and the north west, our popular Complete Cairngorms walking week in the East Highlands to mountain walking for the connoisseur on our Addictive Arran holiday.
Long Weekends & Short break getaways (3 - 4 days walking)
From our Classic Mountain Horseshoes & Cairngorm 4000ers holidays to our Bothy Solitude Expedition, there will be an itinerary to suit most keen walkers.
Mountain Walking Weekends
All are welcome but the itineraries of these weekends are linked to certain arrival and departure times at Inverness Airport giving the south-east based mountain walker a chance to take a break in stunning mountain scenery with our expert guides. And what's more it doesn't cut into your holiday leave. Including: Ben Nevis & the Lairig Ghru challenge weekends.
