Useful info

Equipment provided?

All technical mountain equipment -

What do I need to wear?

We will provide a full personal equipment list.
Suitable outdoor mountain clothing (wind & waterproof outer garments). Mountain boots suitable for either walking or climbing. We are happy to give advice on this ¿ you can hire when you get here ¿ before spending money on gear you may not use again! We do not take folks on the hill wearing shell suits or jeans.

What do I need to bring?

A waterproof day sac to carry your "butties" and a drink to have on the crags or hill at mid-day. A spare fleece/ sweater plus a warm hat & gloves. Bring any of your own technical gear if you have it plus a map & compass.

When can I do it?

The main rock-climbing season is from late April to early September ¿ with the best months being May ¿ June. The prime winter skills season is from New Year until (sometimes) late April with probably the best time being February ¿ March. But the Scottish hills & mountains are always open for business.

Is there a pub nearby?

A 2-minute stagger in the village of Corpach at the SW end of the Caledonian Canal.
