St Vedas' Hotel and Surf Shop open seven days a week, is located 90 meters from the golden sandy beach of Coldingham Bay, which is within a Special Area of Conservation that forms part of Scotland's only Voluntary Marine Nature Reserve. The bay is well placed to pick up NE, E and SE swells.

St.Vedas hotel and Surf Shop have a broadband enabled web cam that uploads pictures of the bay every 30 seconds so you can see what the surf conditions are.

What we do best:

The Hotel provides accommodation; Food, served from 11am till 9pm (surfers can usually have an early breakfast from approx 9am on wards) there is also a licensed bar for that well earned drink after you've had a surf.
We have a beach café right on the sea front serving food and drinks hot or cold, all day from Easter till October.
If your partner is not a surfer they are welcome to come and sit in the comfort of our lounge/dinning room and watch you surf.

From the surf shop, you can purchase all you need for surfing and bodyboarding, there is also clothing. Be sure to check out our online surf shop for all you surfing necessities.

If you are just starting you can hire all that you require to have fun in the water. For the days when there is no surf you can hire snorkels, masks and fins. (You will be amazed at what you see, the Marine Nature Reserve is reputed to be one of the best dive sites in the UK)

For beginners and those interested in getting involved in the exciting sport of surfing, stop by the shop and the St. Vedas Surf School will help organise surf lessons with some of the best BSA approved instructors in Scotland.
