What we do best:

Open canoeing: Join us on an open canoe journey through the wildest corners of Scotland. Choose from the excitement of a River Spey descent, The Great Glen, Perthshire and the Southern Highlands or the wilderness experience offered by our Inverpolly Lochs and Mountains Expedition, which combines paddling with ascents of remote mountains accessed by a series of lochs. We offer trips to suit all levels of experience from our introduction course to a challenging trip.  Our instructors are fully qualified and among the best in Scotland.

Guided Open Canoeing: Trips can range from 4-6 days, and are graded from beginner through to challenging. These wild canoeing expeditions are a great way to venture deep into the wilderness and also involves some hiking.

Equipment provided?

Everything! Sleeping bags, mats and rucksacks are available to hire.

What do I need to wear?

Regular outdoor gear, though many people prefer to wear sandals on their feet. We provide full details on our website.

What do I need to bring?

Personal equipment only. Everything else is supplied by Wilderness Scotland.

When can I do it?

Our scheduled trips run between April and September - see our website for dates. Further tailor-made dates for groups available on request at any time of year.

Is there a pub nearby?

Depending on which trip you choose, there is usually a pub nearby at the end of the day. On our Inverpolly Lochs and Mountains expedition, we camp in wilderness areas so there is no pub but plenty of mugs of hot chocolate! And we always find a pub for the last night!!
